This small but useful exhibition catalogue produced by the Riccar Art Museum is the only reference solely dedicated to the Sosaku Hanga artist, Maekawa Sempan (also spelled Senpan). For fans of Sempan, this fact is quite unsettling, making matters worse is this reference is scarcely available anywhere, particularly in the United States. The book illustrates nearly 400 works by Sempan including his woodblock prints, drawings, and woodblock printed art books. Simply a must have!
