This catalogue is for the watershed exhibition held at the Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo in 1997 showcasing the black and white photography and experimental photographic work of three important Japanese modernists: Koshiro Onchi, Osamu Shiihara, and Ei-Kyu. The catalogue illustrates 40 rarely seen works by these three artists, many of which were previously unpublished, and includes some of Onchi’s woodblock print designs.
