Details
The sea robin presents an entirely different challenge from the streamlined species that dominate much of the series. Its expansive pectoral fins, angular head, and distinctive anatomical features create a composition rich in visual complexity. Ohno embraces these qualities, carefully arranging the fish so that its unusual silhouette becomes the central focus of the design.
Color plays a particularly important role in the success of the image. Warm reds and oranges contrast with cooler tones throughout the body, while subtle shading enhances the sculptural qualities of the fish.
